Assuming they weren't joking about it, either use a real 3DFX card if you have a retro PC, or just use the modern renderer for modern PCs. I see no purpose in emulating a 3DFX card in a modern PC for this game.

The game definitely needs some tuning when it comes to challenge and enemy placement, but the potential is there. Guns feel meaty (the double-barrel shotgun is a blast), levels are huge and fairly well-designed, the visual-style is perfectly adequate for a trip down to memberberry lane.
At the moment the main issues are related to the maps which in general feel a tad sparse, with the Hard difficulty that's too easy. The actual movements could use more dynamicity as well in order to keep the flow alive, though it's all stuff that can be fixed during the Earlyaccessian phase.
