Yeah drug laws are pretty fucked up in Japan it's mostly because of the shit opium caused in China a century ago, of course Japan was also partly responsible for that since they sold opium for their war efforts in WWII just like the western country's did, but that's something they conveniently forget as always.

The irrational fear about weed making you lazy does partially stem from that opium craze too - and the fact that hemp had to be outlawed for petroleum products to be the only alternative.
But I know more than one guy who got into the weed -> lazy -> weed cycle.
Weed doesnt help, when you should be getting your shit together. But it also isnt bad when you already have you life going well.

I was actually reffering to drugs in the same category. Like Amphetimines(Adderall/Vyvanse) are much stronger then cocaine. IMO that is. And Vyvanse is legal in Japan. So :shrug:

Yeah they quite thoroughly erase you in Japan due to the strictness of the anti-drug regulations and what seems to trace back to the Opium affair and China and Britain I guess it would be.
Can take over a decade to get back and most of your career and life is just done and over if I'm reading this right from what I'm finding on how it works, films and media and what not gets re-released and updated to remove the person involved so it's quite a thorough scrubbing.
EDIT: In comparison I think the first artist for Devil May Cry 5's intro song was arrested on charges involving a minor and that just got a fine, here well a small amount of drugs and it's all over with or at least over with for a very long time and having to work your way back up once this is over with which it looks like can take several years.
(Though I think Capcom changed the song itself too but the artists career is not completely over with.)

Lol Stadia exclusive and then the timing with it basically on live support now, wtf where they thinking. I can only assume the deal was allrdy made last year when google was still pumping money in to Stadia and a Linux port would have taken this long to get ready as well i guess.
