There will only be one version of Commandos 2 HD Remaster internationally, and it will not incorporate any symbols, portraits, speeches or other assets that could break the law in many countries.
As a company, we are obliged to adhere to the law, but we want our users to have the best experience with our games without causing potential delays or even being banned in certain countries.
Therefore, we have decided on this course of action so that we will not be forced to split up groups of players or be unable to provide the game to specific regions at all.

And what the fuck are these bullshit laws anyway, aren't videogames considered an expression of art which is an exception to them ? Do they replace Hilter with a bunny in The Fall in these countries ?
The game will be great as it always has been, no doubt, but this is so dumb.

Well, wanted to play this in a larger resolution due to the interface becoming tiny, but they didn't fix even that, so I guess I'll stick to Destination Paris 2.0 and/or HD mod.
Cant't rebind most keys, can't zoom in/out with mouse scroll, adding items to the inventory has some issues... Meh, not the most impressive remaster, tbh.
seems both games are in a pretty sorry state of affairs. Commandos more so.
kinda expected since i watched a short video with some q&a they put on steam for Praetorians and the answer for what was the most difficult aspect of remastering these, was how to design controls for consoles. You focus your energy on puting pc only games designed for m/kb on consoles instead of doing work on the game itself.
They seem to also want as much apeal as possible, many localisations, removal of every potentially harmfull simbol.
Every decision these guys made for the two titles was a financial and business decission. The games dont seem to matter at all.
Even the smallest and humblest indie dev lacks the passion for the craft it seems. They all design and plan everything around pure profits.

nice, did not know of the hd thing; tested it now and looks very nice but dont know why its locked at 30 fps in actual game while at menu is at 60.

Yea, that's my impression as well. And it gets disappointing when you see this being done to one of your favorite activities / favorite game that's also emotionally linked to your childhood.

I think that's only half true. I'd say that if you want to perceive passion in the industry, the indie scene is still the most prevalent one. Although... eh... from what i have seeen lately in case of devs its either one of the 2: 1) passion for craft but zero business sense vs "just business"
The merits of this release are not the product of the HD Remaster. Commandos 2: Men of Courage is a marvel of tactical gameplay and the best thing about this reiteration is that you can still see why. If you are not willing to put up with many issues and design choices that only alienate the fans, you can pick up the original for 4.99 and use a resolution mod for it.

Shame that spain's spanish narrator has been removed, unless it's a bug, from the Tutorial
Worse is that Green Berett , when outisde the tutorial's building from the 1st tutorial, he says "Over there" in english instead of the original spanish audio
Same devs from C2HDR, not-so same mistakes... Already warned em on STEAM and they listened, but hopefully they do the job...

The game asks ya if ya want the symbols etc, aka uncensored mode, the moment you start the game for the 1st time
It can still be toggled in OPTIONS
