Well mp mode is enabled but I haven't found how to join with other people. I played about an hour alone.

I haven't figured out how to play with others either. It says I'm playing online and other players "may" join my game but it never happened so I basically crouched and crawled around for ~90 minutes (it's quite unforgiving if playing solo Razz )

Definitely survival horror with co-op/mp as part of the game.

Is it me or is the AI kinda smart? They keep flanking, going around, if there are many and i'm hiding behind something, they will flank both sides!

It's you and me both. They flank, they gather in packs and flank you unless you're well hidden some distance away. When in doubt, run as hell and then go prone and find another way to wherever you're trying to go. That's how I dealt with it (and still got my ass handed to me).

Since it's a beta I won't complain about the balance of the single player part (or I just really suck at survival games like this).

I like this game! The sound effects and music are nice, the graphic style is pretty good and overall the atmosphere feels great. The flanking adds quite a bit of a challenge, without it it would be boring. It keeps you on your toes.

Have only completed the church thus far. I think I might preorder this one tho. (Yes, desperate for new games, got nothing to play atm).

It still astounds me how familiar the setting feels (80'ies rural Sweden).

Yeah, they should put in a falukorv as a easter-egg homage for that one movie, though I do believe it was made in the late 70's...

It does get the setting down for what a rural area would look like here and in many cases still do though many current farms are a bit more dilapidated as industrialization and export and import is more of a thing and far more industrialized and mechanized though we do still have a severe lack of friendly giant robots roaming around, alas. Razz
(Lots of building and growth for the cities around here but still tons of farmland though not as actively worked as in a few decades back.)

First the economical boom and it going down and then quite a different sort of boom and there's still traces of that radioactive waste seen in some of the wildlife from a report a few years back. Although I don't think this is a Nuclear setting though I do wonder if there's some story here or if it's just friendly neighborhood robots going a bit kill-all-humans like.

EDIT: Though this particular area was also quite a zone for the later cold war stages and tons of remnants from that although much has since been filled in or demolished after being abandoned.
Escalating a little bit again though what with almost daily military drills now since about half a year back. Kinda funny when you are out walking and there's these loud booms and smattering noises from the firing ranges and training fields....or just the soup they serve over in the army and it's aftermath. Very Happy
(Hey Russia notice us we have an army too! Three or so dozen some tanks if even that and a sizeable budget cut for the rest has made a impact but it still counts, kinda.)

Though 200 some bunkers and other installations still don't make up for a deficit of clunky robot walkers. Ha ha.
(Well I think it's probably been considered at some point in history before being dismissed for how unfeasible it is IRL.)

Game itself does look like it could be fun though, will be interesting to see how they take in feedback from the early access beta and how the final game will turn out.
And maybe a few patches just in case similar to The Hunter and it's ups and downs. (Well, both games.)

So from what i read from the reviews its mostly great gameplay and atmosphere , but is low content and quite a bunch of bugs (especially on consoles)

So after some patching and if they plan to add some post-release content .... it could be ideal pickup during summer months

i'm interested in this but knowing the cotw devs are doing this, give me a very 50/50 feel about it. on one hand the cotw devs are good with their guns and long term support, but on the other hand it can take them months to fix game breaking bugs and they're not exactly the bastion of imagination for gameplay mechanics.

Multiplayer works. You can team up with your fellow pirates.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
