I think it will be on Switch and then they’ll probably have an enhanced version with a 60fps framerate for Switch 2 or whatever the successor is called.

It's already running at 60fps. Forgot you were like KC and having a hard time seeing the difference between 60fps and 30 fps
If it was indeed running on a Switch and not a Switch 2 prototype, then I would guess a Switch 2 version would probably just increase the resolution. This also looked like 1080p.

What?
I meant if there is an enhanced version on Switch 2, it will presumably be 60fps whereas as the Switch version might be 30fps. Obviously I don’t know, I’m just speculating

You didn't read what I said. As I said, you can't see the difference between 30 and 60 fps: that Nintendo Switch video of Metroid 4 is ALREADY running the game at 60fps, go look better.
Wow these retards are going to do it. They're going to release 4 before remastering 2 and 3. Imbeciles. Remastering would be a perfect way to get new people into the series.
so they added a side-kick. why don't they ask gamers about this stuff? we dont like side-kicks, its the worst idea ever for games, they dont add anything, they are annoying and no one likes them.
while its true that many big and popular titles have them its not why they succeeded.
also this seems like an annoying dude already, the type who will slip on banana peels and go WOoooHOHOohOHOH, HEEEELP, HEEEELP in every other scene the goofy male cuck vs the strong and serious female lead. yeah, never seen that one before in a mOdErN gAme.
would be nice if you kept your western influences to a minimum.
Edit: Gamespot previewer is speculating the contrast between the more serious Samus and the goofy cuck Miles might be intentionally comedic. wow, look at Brainiac over here, so smart, he must have played like 2 games (at least) prior to this game.

Every triple-eh game now has to have a sidekick, especially in the console space. TLOU started the trend and everybody has ran with it
just watched some footage-i've never played the prime games so i have zero nostalgia for them but this looks genuinely awful. mosquito and bug shooting simulator
It stated way before TLOU. I would say with Half-Life 2 maybe (HL1 had them too, but to a lesser extent), though i wouldn't say its particularly bad or annoying for those games.
There are so many other games that has them where its just annoyance and you feel that it would have been more fun if you were just left to your own devices.
It's just lazy game development.
"let's add a side-kick so it feels like the player is playing with a friend!!!"
Obviously this doesn't work, at ALL.
"let's add a side-kick so it can help the player solve puzzles!"
This is awful too and not fun. This could work in some games were you switch between two characters with different skillsets, maybe. But its not how they do it.
"let us make the Side-kick make funny comments about everything!"
i don't think Daikatana popularized anything for games since it wasn't a hit, unlike HL or TLOU.
Not sure what's difficult to understand, you don't think popular games leaves a mark on forthcoming games, that it doesn't inspire others to do the same? Sometimes they do copy the good things we like, and sometimes i think they're just doing it because they think they have to, not because they have some grand idea of how to implement it and make it fun.
i should have been more clear, didn't mean TLOU was the first game to have a buddy, but after TLOU it became a requirement the devs have to check off, like the token lesbian characters. It's definitely a Sony requirement that seems to have migrated to Nintendo as well now. Are the characters and their relationship well written like in TLOU? Doesn't matter, put it in the game and check off the box.
I honestly dont know who enjoys it, even my very casual gamer wife gets annoyed by the characters always following her, bossing her around and telling her what to do and where to go. Horizon Zero Dawn sequel was another one. Struggle for 5 seconds against a boss? Buddy character SHOUTING at you every 5 seconds to USE POISON. Just shut the fuck up, don't people get enough of that at work?
In TLOU the game is built around the 2 characters, so it works and makes total sense, well written dialogue and a rather interesting setup. TLOU2 totally failed in the area though, its just two lesbians who are very much the same.
But yes, many games has it as a check-list and then it won't work because there's no good reason for the side-kick other than very superficial ones that no one cares about.
Edit: oh, and the yellow paint thing, no gamer likes it, yet it has to be there. It's super on-the-nose here, they made sure to also paint Miles with yellow. Because gamers are "retards", we must paint stuff to show them that its a guide, that they're supposed to follow, like the other yellow things we painted for them. Fuck off. Dont support games like this and maybe eventually it gets through.
