Doubt anyone can confirm for a while, but it's definitely worth giving it a go. I finished it on release and it's one of the best games of last year

I mean, I loved Dishonored and it's sequel, but I'm not a fan of the "play this over and over until you've been given the tools to do it a very specific way and win" idea, which is kinda why I didn't risk buying it. Gonna give it a go now however, free is free.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

its a little bit unoptimized, beginning of the second level fps drops to 45 fps, ultra details on full hd, on 2k drops to 35-40 fps, i did not want to see 4k lol.

I feel you. I loved Prey but their free DLC Mooncrash was basically the blueprint for Deathloop and I didn't like it at all.

Man I tried to like this game. The graphics were great but I guess playing something over and over trying to get it right is just a big piss off for me???

I'm just keeping the DLC weapon (purple gold gun with silencer) , a blue shotgun and an orange dual pistols/SMG "mutation" for the entire game so far and had used a guide like once to know where to go next (The "Photo" without guide point)
I'm actually liking it but having to go day through night for hints repeatdly can get a bit on the nerves, but hey, if ya wanna go for the perfect loop breaker then ya must do it...
Sadly i cannot progress anymore with this game. It's not bad, but it's something PC related. Everytime i reach a certain area (the building with a shit ton huge red mark at the loading screen) , once i enter it's "playground" it'll just crash at anywhere in that place (The 1st visit never happened)
It's not a crack issue, as the game seems to STILL have the same bullshit on the STEAM forums...All my fun time wasted ==;;;

Occasional yarr-related freezes aside, I'm finding the game itself rather underwhelming, perhaps even more than I expected. The rewarding sense of exploration/experimentation and wonder that was present in Arkane's previous titles (especially Prey and Dishonored 2, their best ones by far) is less preeminent here, as almost everything is at the service of the narrative-heavy loop-based mechanics which dictate the player's decisions and push for a more direct, less immersive approach. It's a game that really tries to be witty but at the end of the day huehue it offers little depth or challenge
At least the gunplay is decent, though the Artificial "Intelligence" here is capable of generating Benny Hill-esque situations. Since the four playable areas that you visit ad nauseam get repetitive after just a few hours, the story is what makes or breaks this loop. Alas, its writing style and the tone overall can't really tickle my pickle which is a shame. That's entirely a matter of personal taste, still, imo(tm) the game as a whole definitely does belong to the long list of those suffering from pretty severe Overinflated Journocritic Syndrome.
