It seems odd that they allowed Activison the license back to sell the game again. I wonder if they may have struck similar deals with Capcom for Marvel Vs Capcom 3 which also was pulled when all were lost at the end of 2013.

It could be that they are having Activision make a movie film for next year when it is released so they worked it into the deal to be able to sell this one again. That is about the only explanation that makes sense since it is not like the game was highly reviewed or anything with people constantly starting up petitions says we want Deadpool.

i dont think this game specifically was part of a deal, more likely they renegotiated the rights to the deadpool franchise, and put this one back out again for the instant 'easy cash'

I was looking for an article about same issue but from dev of dat TMNT batman-clone game in relation to Platinum's Korra game - and found this one for January which pretty much tells the same thing
