Hey be sure to post a lot of updates! Maybe we can start together. Just post the blueprints!
And I don't think that you'd need any help from me

point to point.. is that like using splines in maya and then once all connected they become a surface, also do you end up with it being like a plain and having to face out the normals or does cinema 4d get smarter and you dont have to even worry about it..?
I only use maya. I know alot of these apps are samey in many ways, but some do things much easier.

I'm sure there are easier methods, but I'm old school and that's the only way I know |
i know where you are coming from, with updated tools all the time they always add faster ways to do things but its not always easy or rather its the "can i be bothered to find out" aspect of changing the way you are used to doing things.. If you were in a studio im sure it would be even more needed to work faster but hey if its hobby type stuff and it works still, do it the way you know how I guess.
Ive only ever used maya and because of this am more comfortable with that app. But I sometimes see other 3d tools and think hey that was nice way to do that etc, I dont get that function with maya etc etc.. I quite liked the way softimage worked with modeling tools, but I could not get into the feel of the UI and menu's. C4D not even tried it but been checking out some vids, seems pretty std so far not seen any tools that are much different to what I use in maya.
The whole drag and drop routine for adding say nurbs surfaces to a spline etc and deformers is pretty much std although they make it come across different in feel with the drag and drop stuff. I mean its no diff really I guess from just applying a tool to your selected model direct really.. I liked the plain buttons for fast alignment though not sure ive even seen those in maya, I just always enter in the degrees direct..
Keep showing pics
Edit: just saw the cloner tool, that is rather funky..

I just took a look at C4D, its nice my maya latest package has softimage as well, but never tried C4D so took a look and its nicely put together the UI so far it seems, alot less fussy then the main stream ones but did like the vray renderer, not sure if its my eyes etc but everything did seem to be more fluid when working in it.. But that could be that maya 2012 has some funkyness with the ui going on right now..
Either way, nice tool - does this bode well with zbrush and even mudbox?

Hey Kuro, any advancement?
Btw, that is what I did last... nothing special though.
Does anyone know a good image host? Need some (reliable) space to put my rendered images

Perhaps a blog. blogger.com
For pics I use imghunt.com, it is not as handy as abload was and 5 MB per file is the limit.

I'm not a webdev Yeah, even currently I'm mainly developing html/js/java & some more super secret stuff, but I do not create webpages
If I should go for a hosting solution it'll definitely be something like all-inkl, they have pretty fast servers compared to strato, 1&1 & co
