This game is like crack. It’s preventing me from playing other games and they’re about to release Dawn of the Hunt lol. I got to the end game with a level 72 Titan and can’t stop trying to do the Waystones
The only part I really enjoyed in the beta was Act 1. Then, it got progressively more and more bloated (and boring) from there onwards, for no reason. And the endgame does not intrigue me at all. It sucks to find out at that point that your build is shit because you do fuck-all damage on maps, and get evaporated easily.
I stopped playing about 2 months ago, and I will only touch it again when all the acts and more classes (cba about the huntress, though) are released.
Also, with the rework/update of the passive skill tree, I wonder if that menas that character skill points have been reset. I absolutely fucking hated that in the 1st game. Who the fuck remembers their skill point allocations, especially after being away from the game for a few months?
I’m really enjoying my time with the game as well and have several character averaging around lvl 45 or so. I am looking forward to the rest of the acts like most of us but this latest patch has hit some skills pretty hard. Only a few improvements from what I read. Granted, some builds were absolutely crazy good, so I get it, but some of the reductions are pretty harsh.

Do I need to create a new character and start the game from the beginning?
While we do recommend starting over and getting the full new experience in the Dawn of the Hunt leagues, all the content from this update will be made available in the existing Early Access leagues so you can play your existing characters.

No, everything we’re adding in Dawn of the Hunt will be available in the core game as well. Future leagues will usually add exclusive content.
Thanks for that but how do I change the league for an existing character because I can’t see any option to change it other than when I create a new character.

No not really. I mean D4 had one of the worst in any of these games i've played with a bunch of npcs that i didn't give a shit about, so i guess it's better than that.
D4 story wasn't bad pr se, but the characters i didn't give a fuck about either. Just felt like you were dragging around this little girl who'll become the story's hero at the end. Haven't bothered with the DLC story though
TLDR:
- Act 4 (non-linear) followed by 3 interlude missions (placeholder before the final two acts are complete) so we don't have to play through the existing acts twice.
- Rebalancing of the existing classes with new skills and mechanics. Unarmed combat for monks with new animations. Combo elemental damage for sorceress. The warrior can become a fire Thor. etc
- 40+ new support skill gems, including unique ones. We'll be able to use the same support skill gem on multiple skills now, only the unique ones can be equipped once.
- Plenty of new maps, monsters and bosses
- Sprinting mechanic
- New league mechanic: Rise of the Abyssal.
- Plenty of changes to the endgame, including new intermediary bosses and adjustments to the progression system. The difficulty for pinnacle content is adjusted via splinters used to unlock it, not through skills anymore. The pinnacle skills only add bonuses.
- The trading system has received a much needed upgrade. You don't have to be online to be able to sell your items. People can just come to your hideout and pick the items they want to purchase from your trading tabs.
- Plenty of new additions and improvements to the crafting system. There's something I don't like here though, tiered orbs that for incrementally higher stats (this could have been done through item level without increasing the number of currencies).
- Free weekend on 29-31 August when the update comes out.

YAY! Was my biggest dislike of 2. I get 'all' skill gem sockets can be 6 slots now, vs the limited of 6 to chest or 2 handed before, so they needed to limit the power. But 'only one per type of gem' was the wrong way.
Why I grew bored of it after 2 characters to end game, I figured out it had no 'skill theorycraft' worth bothering with really, it pigeonholed you into "OK make one GOOD 6 slot attack with the one use of supports you like, use only that one for the rest of the game".
Everyone of my builds was (endgame or test characters) ended up having one attack with the 'good' support gems for my goal, and spam that one button. All other slot lines was defense or passive support stuff. Why make more attacks when the best supports for my 'type of play', I get to use once in my setup and is on the 6 slot?
