Eau du Unfairness...I've experienced that.. I mean, you can beat a STORY boss who's nearly 20lvls (Lookin' at ya, Chapter 6 or 8, northeast side of the map's town) above you but you can't do the same with NORMAL (NOT tainted) beasts in the world map...

Now i seem to be at the "Point of no return" in Chapter 9 (Final now) after making certain weapon...Gotta say i fucking hated to get those 50 employees (When there's the guy near Canghai's casino that gives you express quests to buy such..FUCK, if i had known before!)...Then WAIT for 60K GK to upgrade the castle THEN WAIT AGAIN for the armory...

That's the worst part of the game. CLICK AND WAIT, AND YOU CAN'T UNFOCUS THE WINDOW!!!

You know you can reduce the time and cost for everything in your kingdom, right? Laughing Can also speed up the progress by 10% every time...

Story + all side quests + all citizens + 120 errands + tainted monsters + 9 dream doors + max level kingdom..and it took only ~55-60 hours.

Hardly waited for anything. Just put it on research, go and do 2-3 side quests and return back.

90% of the errands can be completed instantly if you got and upgraded your buildings. Easy tokens to get rarer mats and citizens.

Should I go through the story quests first untill I get the kingdom? Will I have to revisit places if I am exploring before I get the kingdom?

Sides/errands are not available until chapter 4. By that time you will have a kingdom.

You will revisit few places again (but most of them are like caves or when you learn something new) and for tainted bosses inside (the ones that spawn only during specific quests). Otherwise, you don't re-visit small places.

Story focus until chapter 4. After that, feel free to do side quests when available as there are plenty of them (175) and unlock after each chapter.

As for kingdom, get the important research/upgrades first. Don't focus on things you don't plan to use (or have no plans to clear everything).

You don't as far I know or at least not at a standard rate. It'll show red number 0 over the building. The more people you have, the more mats you get.

You can see small meter next to the individuals. It'll slowly fill up as they gather mats for you.

Also, each resource building gathers set of items. So you can assign according to your needs. Smile

Can you disable that annoying camera centering when moving?

Also anyone playing with mouse/keyboard?
Mouse feels a bit sluggish.

Yea, These kind of games you a are playing with controller, not K&M.

K&M=Better for FPS,RTS,CRPG,hack and Slash RPG.

Controller=Sports,3rd person stuffs,JRPG and fighting games.

As such, the only reason this game is worse with a M/K is because it's shoddily adapted, just like Nier Automata.

with the exception of fighting games, you do have a point.

But lets face it, most 3rd person games(or consoles ports in general) let alone JRPGs while supporting K&M (most of the time, instead cases like Nioh) are still more "optimized" for controllers, Yea the aiming even on 3rd person is better with Mouse.

Yes you can disable it in the options, I don't remember where or what the option was but it's there somewhere.

Must have missed it. Gonna look again.
// Ah, found it.
Feels so good now. Just the menu controls are not as good with keyboard or mouse.

Why would a fighting game be an exception? M/K is essentially a small form hit box controller, providing you with the fastest precision controller you can have. You only need to make sure that your keyboard supports your button config (the key rollover stuff)

Yea when it comes to fighting games it's basically arcade stick -> keyboard ->>> controller

The only genre a keyboard is undeniably shit for is racing, yes there is just no way you can properly emulate sensitive analog Stick movement with a keyboard.

And if I am wrong why
So many people here admit they are playing with controllers when it comes to console ports/emulated games?
Rolling Eyes

While K&M Support most
Of the games they are just not as good for games that aiming is not the focus or "couch" games.

Just because you can't use a mouse properly, doesn't mean the control scheme is bad.

depends, im better with keyboard than with a fightpad (playing cammy). but zangief and guile can be a pain in the ass (though cammy does have circle moves too, working just fine)

Can you sell old equipment?
Or is it later used to for example salvage them for materials?

Finished the game in 23h 54min (As you might've expect, main story only, of the 35-40h expected to be done)

GOOD:

-60FPS and superb details, you barely notice pixel saws (Except some grass and close view'd "ship")

-Much better battle system than the annoying old one

-Some scenarios, specially Chapter 6 (Factory) and it's music

-The game's music (again)

-The ending, it's credits, and the After Credits scene (Worth it)

BAD:

-TOO EASY....However, you are a LVL30 group and fight a LVL47 (for example) STORY boss and TADA, NO ISSUES!!... Now, try being LVL50 and beating a Tempered World Map's "Boss" (Purple circle around 'em) and 1-2 hits YOU'RE DEAD (No big surprise...NOT!!!!!!)

-You're forced to do sidequests to progress on the main story.. Even with upgrades for your castle for faster research upgrades or less cost, you're forced to recruit 50 members in total to progress on the final stretch of the game

-Skirmishes.. Though sure, ya can "cheat" LEGALLY to make it easier, they're a bit of a waste of time (Specially you must farm a lot for higher ones.. You're lvl 30 then there's LVL44 AND ABOVE)

-Very predictible story, with a end game being way 2 similar with the 1st game's ending stretch

-The ending, but for one reason that hurts a lot to NOT see...

Haven't bothered for the side quests, just got in for the story, since i've got a shit ton of stuff to do..If somebody gave me a PS4 copy i'd 100% for sure..But nope, thank you PC and CODEX!

I don't understand why jRPGs with so much loot don't have a simple "mark as crap -> sell all crap with one button" function. I like jRPGs, but some mechanisms are really archaic in all jRPGs

You can. While selling, just press triangle to mark (heavy attack button on PC) and sell in one go. You can also lock your important items in-case you sell it by mistake (since you cannot buy it back). Smile

I found the game very organised and neatly done for JRPG. All quests with proper numbers, proper stats along with a number of citizens/monsters, etc to track. The help section is also filled with a good amount of details. Example: while tweaking tactics tweaker, if you forgot what kind of monster you are facing belongs to, you can head to the library option -> help and see where they belong. Used it many times before getting familiar with monsters.
