Can anybody who already owns the PC version make a scan of the disk with aray scanner? I want to know the Protection. Hopefully it's not Starfore. But I think it will be SecuROM, because Hospital Tycoon has this protection, too. And it's also from Codemasters.

Demo had starforce which was the reason for me to skip it.
And the preview build from someone who posted here had also starforce, so it will probably be starforce.

DTPro will probably be able to run it though, but no scene release yet.

Welcome to almost a year ago since SF4 was released. Every SF4 clone works mounted w/o a need to unplug anything and there are many SF4 clones released already. But yeah, old news is so exciting.

NFO:
DiRT *SFCloneDVD* (c) Codemasters

After a two-year break for the series, Codemasters Studios' designers have

created a reinvigorated McRae experience. The new Colin McRae title goes

beyond the series' point-to-point rallying to deliver the most diverse

selection of extreme off-road competitions. Sensational gravel, mud and

dirt racing events from the world over include perilous Hill Climb and

collision-packed Rally Cross events. International rallying competitions

are also featured, with official cars on tracks based on real roads and

locations around the globe. The title also expands on beat-the-clock

racing and includes events with multiple cars on track to satisfy anyone

who wants to push their on-the-edge driving just that bit further.

Mount with Daemon Tools, install & play.

The demo didn't work on my PC as I have an ATi X850 Pro. It requires shader 3.0 ( i think) can anyone confirm the full game still requires a newish graphics card (X1300 >)
Thanks,

No. It isn't that hard to understand. The reason I asked is because there were rumours that they might make a modification to the game in the retail, as there's a good chance sales will not be as good for this game as others because of the demand for a newish graphics card.

In regards to demo is like retail in terms of specs.
This isn't always the case my friend.

Game works fine,no lag what so ever.Smile

Handling is ok,I'm not much of a racing fan,so I can't compare this to forza/GT or w/e.
So far it's pretty fun.

Thx for the info & great Kung Pow quote in your sig btw. Wink

I still wonder how much/deep this protection affects my PC.
I´ve always stayed way clear of SF games, but this SF version seems more similar to Securom with no unplugging and just mounting?
