No idea what the 09 mod does, but L.U.R.K. adds quite a few features that I would think you'd need to restart the game for (not 100% sure). Hopefully you aren't TOO far in.

just turned off the brain scorcher, and im starting to get bored as shit with it. Walk into this annoying as shit broken down factory for 5 miles to turn off a switch....which like all the other 16 times, your going to fall down and sleep

well long story short, HD erased, new game had ot be started, installed lurk.
Hated the fact they got rid of the mini map so I found some UI mod and got it back but now im missing the "sound" bars, anyway of getting those back too?

How lame, Seriy was dead when I arrived to the Garbage hangar so can't go on with the main quest. He didn't have a PDA on him either when I checked his corpse, pfeh.

Go to the underground anyway. The quest will still update when you get there.

Ah thanks, will try that. Sprinted to the hangar as soon as I could and he was still dead, so guess they'll have to adjust the bandit attack some in the next versions if they want Seriy to survive.

you'll miss out on the quest with "doctor" though :\
Im using the lurk mod and had this happen too. Also a few other issues like this that are completely bullshit, amazing how they missed em.

Heh decided to sleep a while in the wild, and woke up 3am - everything was pitch-black and it was raining. Didn't take long for a pack of dogs to finish me off, no way I'm going anywhere in the dark again before I get NV.  |
the minimap is in the optionals folder with the patch release.

as for the sound bars, play the vanilla or 2009 mod (or just use the minimap in th epatch I sent)
Theres "stealth" bars. On the left of the map shows how much noice your making and on the right the bar shows how well someone can see you.

Mhm I'll most likely wait until the 1.1 (should be out before the end of the month) before going on - been ages since I last played SoC so not really interested in playing the main campaign in a half-assed way.

what pisses me off is they gloat about how they wanted to preserve the game, make it untouched but better..
bull..fucking...shit.
They tampered with quests. Remember ghosts armor? Ya you don't get it anymore, you pick up a generic leather jacket, you give it to the scientist and he gives back a generic leather jacket.
When you talk to the scientist you ask him what artifacts he needs and tells out about 2 particular ones he wants for an experimental weapon. Notice the plasma rounds in his inventory? The artifacts are to make the shock sniper rifle.
Well that's no longer a quest either, just buy the super man killer for 30K and be done with it.
They fucked up the AI detection for the defend traders camp mission where wolf tells you about the bully mercs, after you kill them all the camp members register the army base down the road and all pretty much go down there only to get slaughtered.
Then theres the Seriy being dead before you can even tell him you loved him, they obviously upped the number of mutant fucking mutts running around, I had literaly about 12 of them run at me at one moment not including the annoying fucking rats so you can't walk outside more than a foot without getting bit in the ass.
All in all, I say fuck lurk, I do love the new guns and some of the revisions like the G36, but I had NONE of these bullshit issues with the complete 2009 mod.

What I suggest doing: Get LURK and salvage as much as you can from the Complete 09 mod. Playing with just the Complete 09 mod gets boring, as it doesn't add any substantial gameplay changes.

Joining either Freedom or Duty excludes the other group, there's a few different missions to do in that area and managing those (Some where you sneak aroudn are problematic.) will let you join but it does make Duty hostile (Unless it's modded to be different.) which means you'll get a massacre when you return to the "Bar" area.
(Which could potentially make Stalkers hostile if you shoot them as well.)
