Well even if the Scenarios pop up constantly it's the redundency of them that plays the biggest role in losing interest. After like 10 of them Im done and need to switch up what Im doing but you can't because everything else is not worth the effort/time in regards to the reward.

Yes one in our guild has just done that with squig herder Smile I asked him what is he doing now that hes hit 40, farming for armor etc etc now.. Amazes me that it was doable, I played squig for a bit but wasnt impressed with its damage output really, but I guess that changes when your alot lot higher..

wat attracted me atfirst, is the lore, and the cuteness of the character.
after playing bright wizard, i was furious at the gimpness of this class.
then you discover that if you play smart, know what you can do at the right time, choose your battles, its actually the best class, with the sheer amount of utility/ fluid DPS it has.

Some things were still not fixed that said they were in the notes Razz AGAIN! might I add.

One simple one being, Only two chat tabs remembering when you hit enter the last /*** talk to command option. When i started using more that two windows to talk in, it kept pulling one of the other two ones that originaly stay saved to that third window and any others after that..

Not to mention my chat window keeps bloody bouncing up in the air to a place i never put it everytime I log in.

I was hoping I wouldnt see a repeat of AoC patches previous to the latest one (that is rather good actually) where it would break more than it fixes..

Mythic To Close 63 Warhammer Online Servers
Quote:
Warhammer Online developer Mythic is to close a total of 63 servers for the massively multiplayer online game, with 43 to go in North America and Oceania and another 20 in Europe.

The closures are part of an ongoing effort to consolidate the game’s online population, which started some months ago with a free transfer offer to more popular servers. The now-compulsory moves have been completed this week and the empty servers are set to close.

Mythic was recently forced to confirm layoffs in its customer support and QA teams, although the developer insisted this was not unusual for a post-launch massively multiplayer online game.

Although Warhammer Online attracted 500,000 registrations in its launch week, current subscriber levels are now at 300,000. Both Mythic and publisher Electronic Arts have indicated they remain committed to the game.

Although the main Warhammer Online Herald news site is offline at time of writing, specific details of server closures and character migration routes should be available later.

not surprised. I played beta and liked it, i bought the game and played the free month. Game is nice and all, but at that time performance issues, class imbalance etc etc were just too big to ignore.

I might try it again sometime, especially since for now im done with wow again lol (farmed everything there is to farm, more or less rofl).

I tried so much to like this game when it came out since I was sick of WoW and watned some real PvP. I've played the beta some and it seemed promising but a bit unfinished, but hey, it's beta right?
Well, release day came and I got my copy and installed the mofo just to find out that I WAS STILL PLAYING THE GOD DAMN BETA. I played the free month that came with the game and quit.

I started playing with a friend 2-3 weeks ago again, I rolled a knight and he rolled a WP and we had some fun up til t3 where everything went to a standstill because of the lack of RvR and scenarios. The final straw for my friend was then everytime he tried to log in with his WP he got a CTD or just a log-out (can't remember).
And this was after the patch....

Unfortunatley, this game is in shambles and is still broken as fuck long after release....which is such a shame since it had such potential. T_T

Anyways,

Looks like a bunch of players got overbilled, if you are playing this game I would check your bank account to make sure you didn't just get billed 50 times @ 14.99.....

thread:

http://forums.warhammeronline.com/warhammer/board/message?board.id=p2psupport&thread.id=15916&view=by_date_ascending&page=1

Fuck.... that's right.... this is the second time, isn't it? Something similar happened in '08 I think? What a goddamn mess lmao. I really feel for those people, I would fucking lose it if they overcharged me by $1,000....

As for the free trial, ya I guess its nice to check out, but im staying the hell away from this one.

why would you have debit card or just credit card for internet use.. which have credit, i understand its mostly usa problem.. as most ppl in europe uses debit cards, for online shoping.. which doesnt have credit.. doesnt allow any overcharge.. and it just bounce back if you get charged for 1.5k..

Got a mail from Mythic:

Quote:
Greetings!

Bioware Mythic is pleased to be assuming all publishing and operational responsibilities for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning in Europe, effective 7 July 2010. We would like to take this opportunity to thank GOA for their commitment and service to the WAR community and to invite you to join us in welcoming the European community to Bioware Mythic by extending 2 free weeks of playtime to all Current and Former GOA WAR players starting 7 July 2010.

We understand that you may have questions regarding this transition. To help, we've assembled a list of Frequently Asked Questions which can be found in the following languages:

* English - http://www.warhammeronline.com/international/goa/faq_en.php
* French - http://www.warhammeronline.com/international/goa/faq_fr.php
* German - http://www.warhammeronline.com/international/goa/faq_de.php

Once the transition has completed, existing and returning players can access the Mythic Account center (https://accounts.eamythic.com/) using their same Master Account name with the _EUR suffix added on; For Example ACCOUNT NAME_EUR. PLEASE NOTE: In some rare cases of Master Account names exceeding 19 characters, players will only use an underscore suffix; For example ACCOUNT NAME_. In most cases players will use the _EUR suffix. The above information applies to your WAR game account as well.

Also, we've been able to transfer all previously stored items in player Mailboxes, on the Auction House and in Guild Banks at the time we received the data stamp from GOA (29 June 2010), so these items will be waiting for you when you normal play resumes on the Bioware Mythic European WAR servers in the coming days.

Returning players can download the client here: http://www.warhammeronline.com/download/index.php

Welcome to our European community and we'll see you on the Battlefield!

WAAAGH!

I think this only applies to the EU since nothing else is mentioned and GOA only hosted EU servers as far as I know (may be wrong though...). I might take them up on this just for shits and giggles since I'm interested in how the game is now, I definitely won't end up subbing but still, kind of interested at least.

i think 2 free weeks applies to everyone.. problem is their character transfer is so buggy and broken.. couldnt even select it in middle of the day.. now i can select my old lvl 31 char, but it still dies while processing ;/ , i never actually added my game, but since they removed it i can just sub without having game added, could consider tbh if game is better, but i cant even transfer my god damn char.. if you bring welcome back week, at least make sure old players can play the GOD DAMN GAME with theirs char.. cuz otherwise its shity ass trial i aint interested in

So it looks like they've given in and changed the game (or at least re-used the engine) to make a 3v3v3 standalone PVP game called "Wrath of Heroes".

https://wrathofheroes.warhammeronline.com/

You can sign up to the beta there! To be honest, I *loved* the pvp in WAR and would still be playing the game for that if the level grind wasnt so annoying, so I'm really looking forward to this one hitting.
