Do I have to play Relevations 1 before I get the ISODemo of this one?
No, but so far REv1 looks like the better game of the two.

Just finished Barrys campaign now and have to say it's a pretty decent little episode, co-op lies aside. It all went a bit Alan Wake at the end there but the atmosphere is pretty good and at the moment it's not setpiecy like RE6. Looking foward to the next one.
The game was updated, perhaps it improves the problematic stuttering and framerate drops?
Most comments there indicate the stuttering is gone but replaced with huge FPS drops

What a short episode, took like an hour and 15 minutes to run through for me.
The game itself feels super budget with tacked on crap like the skill system and the cheap replacement for the scanning thing from Rev 1. Also why the fuck didn't they make this Co-Op? Having to switch back and forth between the characters over and over at least make me get bored pretty quickly.
Wasn't expecting much from this title but at least a little bit more than this...
Thanks capcom my fps problem is fixed im at a steady 80 fps from a horrid constant 15 fps. Time to actually play

confirmed, solid 60 fps after new patch

Update fixed my fps problems, went from a choppy 20-40fps to a solid 120fps.

Oh cool, they are bringing offline co-op to the PC version.

Per announcement earlier today, we are now ready to roll out the open beta program for Revelations 2 featuring split-screen local coop in both Campaign and Raid Mode.

Im actualy enjoying this, it definatly is more like RE4 than the last 2, and thats a good thing, i feel the controls on RE5 and 6 were really off, in this one they are great, the aiming is good too.
Time will tell if it was worth it, but so far, it is miles better than 5 and 6, wich although not saying much, is the right direction to go.
Better than RE6, yes, but I don't think its THAT better than RE5. RE5 was very polished for what it it was. Rev 2 feels very poorly made even if it plays ok. I feel it like its a handheld or more advanced mobile game.
Do the saves carry over from one episode to another, since i havent yet finished the first one, im like almost done with it, can i just install this on top of the first release?
Saves carry over, as does inventory from what I've read on the Steam forums.
(There are some other things that can affect things in later episodes too according to one of the loading screens.)
Damn, just noticed now how they're doing the episodic format... as in weekly, like an actual TV show. Interesting... still, they could have released it all at once as a complete game.

Just completed the new episode, and must say im starting to enjoy it. The game certainly feels pretty mediocre and the framerate is awful at times, but the story is pretty intriguing.
Lenght was about the same as the first one.
I just finished Ep2 and it was better than the Ep1 which I liked anyway..
I don't know if it's the patches they released (I played Ep1 before any were released) or something they changed in Ep2 itself, but I had no peformance issues or stuttering (with the exception of when loading a new area, which is acceptable and not an issue) like I experienced in Ep1. So that's great.
I also felt the visuals were better in this episode, although again the settings and vistas are not particularly complex due to the low budget. And unfortunately the textures are pretty low res. On the other hand it's great we can have good quality 1080p (I assume) cutscenes nowadays rather than full of macroblocking 720p biks.
Which brings me to the story. I didn't say anything when I finished the previous episode because I wanted to see if it was a fluke, but this episode confirms it: this is the best written Residet Evil since RE4. It has the right amount and kind of cheese, fanservice and connections to the RE universe. Please don't mistake what I said as a claim about "good writing" because it's not. But it's fun.
Lastly about gameplay, I think it's funny that it has elements from RE4, RE5, RE6 and REv1 but it doesn't play like any of them exactly. It is its own thing.
I wouldn't say it's particularly good and eg The Evil Within was definitely a better RE type of game but I am hooked and want to see where it goes!

I finished the Claire part. I liked it better than the first ep. I suffered from some memory leak or something, during the bar defense the game froze for like 10 seconds and I woke up dead. This happened twice. The third time I got away with 5-10 fps but I somehow managed to escape. I don't know why this happened because I never experienced such drops in any other part of the game in both episodes. Everything was smooth as butter except this particular moment when I am running down the stairs in the bar.
Anyway I am interested in the story because this 6 months later scenario with Barry got me intrigued. I want to see what's the story behind the little girl.

It's interesting, they did this to save on budget (play the same levels twice just with different lighting and a few different assets when playing with Barry!) but they did it well enough that it's fine.
And I played a bit of Raid and almost all were RE6 maps. It seems the entire game was designed by trying to do as much they can with less. Very interesting approach and I'm sure it will be a success for them (financially).

can someone EXPLAIN to me why the PC version of EACH EPISODE has to be 6 gigs on PC ... then the console version that is 1,2 gig ... i would understand if the PC version would had ULTRA HIGH 4K textures but... they are the fucking exact same textures ... same fucking exact movie files ... but suddenly magic ... PC each episode is 6 gigs
not to mention the PC version is gimped with no off-line co-op and some other features cut

Erm...My second episode download on Steam was 2Gb so I don't really know what your talking about. Not to mention they added offline co-op in the latest beta patch. Also, what other features are cut because I've heard no mention of that.
