For whatever it's worth, re: console version...

At the moment there's only a half assed way of getting it on consoles. Bad performance + console feature implementation will be half baked. Unless the game engine I use comes out with the tools to do it properly, which it sounds like they are, but there's no ETA. So I pretty much have a ~10kg paper weight of a devkit until that happens.

PS. If real Xboxes are this heavy, god damn!

Anyway, I started a new game that should take far less time and it's a lot simpler. Hopefully by the time it's done, the Xbox side of it will be native to the export options

Another devkit arrived today

One is smaller than the other, I guess they send a consumer model version? That seems pointless if the big one can replicate consumer anyway

That or they fucked up by sending two!

Edit: Turns out it's a XB1 kit, but I didn't want that

I was reminded of how insane Reset Era is in another post, which also reminded me about a little bit I put in this game:



3:11:45

If you go to that timestamp, you will come across a Robot who asks you normal questions, you give a normal response, then it goes insane accusing you of shit you didn't do.

Each time it does, it screams 'Reset. Error!' (ResetEra). Then you can either shove it inside a large creatures ass where it explodes, or you can beat it to bits and kick it into a river.

I also had a character mocking Bioware but ran out of time Sad

I hope the remake addresses the PrObLeMaTiC aspects of the original.
