not to mention the grind fest and that this is probably the last new content ull see for bfa for the next 12-14 months as they will go straight to next expansion for a summer release next year.

The biggest downside for me in BFA was the chinese-like-MMO grind of mobs. Absolutely horrible! No matter how much your character improves in terms of gearscore / ilvl, the mobs level up with you, making your progression irrelevant and unsatisfactory.

Whoever decided on the level scaling numbers is a fucking moron and in the end... well... did me a favor, as I stopped wasting time on this game.

No patch or changes will save BFA's failure. Some people might return for 8.2, but many will just skip this, as it's impossible to repair the mess Blizzard created. This expansion is past redemption.

Similar things were (rightfully) said of Cataclysm (not to mention Mists of Pandaria which is when I ultimately wrote off WoW as a piece of crap grind fest with strong psychological dependency formulas that turns me off but keeps other players stuck in that piece of crap game forever it seems). Burning Crusade and Lich King brought some interesting stuff (minus all the damn grinding) with them but since then it's just been a futile exercise of gearing up.

This in my email today:

The tides have changed, Batman. An oft-whispered power has risen from the depths, and Azeroth needs you now more than ever. Rejoin the front lines now with three free days of game time* and see what new adventures await.

I wonder how big of a hole in the budget this... promotion has caused.

FFXIV is great, but once you clear the story... There is not much left but grinding classes.

I wouldn't call FF great though. ARR is still crap.
Not a defence of WoW, their levelling state is also shit.

ARR is so and so with some great story developments, but the expansions are fantastic.

So and so is giving too much credit for it in my opinion. And I even played that abortion that was beta. :>

I think mainly you're harboring bad feelings about it bacause of the launch. The ARR story has its slow development, but it becomes great at level 50 and its extra chapters. I feel i just said the same thing again..

Man I just got through those ~100 fetch quests for patch 2.1-2.55, that almost broke my will to continue. The payoff at the end was great though! Now onto Heavensward. Very Happy
They really have to do something to condense that "content" at lvl50 for new players.

On topic, I resubscribed and wanted to do pathfinder part 2 but after questing in Nazjatar a bit I just got bored and logged out. Probably would be more invested in this if I still had interest in raiding.

No you didn't... you did all the content you cared for.
That's a difference you know. And quite the big difference.

And no that's not a defence of WoW because there is indeed way too many time gates and grinds in grinds these days. but keep the bullshit to a minimum, there's plenty to criticise without resorting to what you typically do.

Why? Because of a bait and switch narrative move that ended prolonging the war between the two factions?

Only thing i dont do is pvp cause i dont farm gear that u get rid of every new patch anyway lol and thus will always be at a disadvantage, and i couldnt do the stupid new raid yet cause lfr is still not unlocked in this timegate fuckfest of a game. Did every quest on all the zones , there was maybe 2-3 memorable or unique, the save from the firehouse thingy and drustvar stuff was nice, rest was mega meh.

legion had a class story line for each bloody class AND SPEC!!!!! , how they didnt expand on this expansion with that was soo mega fucking lazy , makes my blood boil. Only reason my chars they are this high level is those timewarping dungeons basicly power level u like crazy while u watch youtube. ( and during legion prepatch i afk leveled them with the legion invasions in westfall Razz ) before legion i had 1 max lvl cause wod was such a shitshow

wrathgate and the phasing technology finally made the world feel a little alive and showed u impact of ur actions, and that was now what ten years ago ? so little they did to evolve this technology, like its barely any different from back then.

Yup, checking the armory: a real bullshitter. Laughing
You could have easily backed out of it with saying: Yeah, only the content I cared for.

yes doing the same dungeons over and over hitting a same boss just with billions of hp , is 'content'

actually is there any quest chains with more then lets say 6 quests in a row , like them epic 10+ quests chains vanilla had, flying sure shredded most of the epicness i guess so they didnt bother anymore, but still, some effort to make a quest story line, i dont think there was a single one in bfa, unless u call this warfront balony a questline, it was all questhub to questhub linear crap
