Played a bit and there's something iffy about the UI and how the whole game controls, hmm.... It's somehow uncomfrtoable...

So, which release is really the Deluxe+DLC? Rld or 3DM?

The 3DM version is the deluxe GoG version. I don't know what version reloaded cracked.

3DMGAME-Age.of.Wonders.III.Deluxe.Edition.Incl.DLC.Steam.Cracked-3DM.torrent
3DMGAME-Age.of.Wonders.III.Deluxe.Edition.Incl.DLC.GOG-3DM.torrent
So Reloaded crack the Steam version, just like 3DM. 3DM added the GOG version, but they will probably update the Steam version and not the GOG one.

They don't have to update the GoG version, it's unprotected.

This minimalistic UI is one step too far tbh.

Hmm played for an hour or so, first imp is that the UI (camera handling) is clumsy and to minimal and the units look very different but feels very close in stats.
Will need to play more but at the moment i kinda enjoyed Warlock 2 much more at the beginning. Will play some more thou before a final conclusion can be done!

Yes, I wondered that too. After all GOG usually release games that are the final release after all the patches. Hence the name Good old games. Bit confusing that they now release brand new unpatched games under that title.

With my legit purchases, I am notified of a new update if there is one when I start the game. I didn't log in to something or anything, so it must be something in the exe. I assume the GoG version of this works the same.

Game runs fine here but again the text is too small. There's no UI Scale at all. The size of the fonts is the same no matter the resolution.

I like the game, one of the betters in its genre. I think the combat works and is very good, looks good graphically too. The AI seems to know what it's doing, both on the overworld map and in combat. After playing this for a couple of hours I realize how much of a joke the AI in HOMM5/6 was.
The game looks simplified on the surface, but it has a lot of depth in the background. At first it makes you think "meh, I'll see everything in six hours", but it opens op with more and more options. I think the transition to the 3D engine works well, but I do agree the map is cluttered sometimes. The battle maps though, look great. The minimalistic UI doesn't bother me, but I don't understand why they did it.
As for the campaign, it's good enough for such a game. I really like the VA in this one, plus points for that (though it doesn't matter much in these games I guess).
I haven't played enough yet to dub this "best in its genre" (I hope it is), but I'm very impressed. It runs smooth on ultra, I have a 7970 though. Options resetting every time is frustrating, but manageable. Maybe it happens because I use the offline/guest thing.

The UI is completely borked at 1440p with blurry text, black boxes instead of tooltips and black surrounding icons.
Hopefully that'll be fixed soon, then I think I'll get it on steam.

Judging from the answers the devs provided in this thread, I doubt that they'll fix anything. Another example of incapable devs to implement simple programming scaling.

Luckily it seems they have since acknowledged the issue (though I wonder how they could miss it in the first place)

The temporary fix is just to play at 1080 but that looks like shit on my 27" 1440 monitor, so not really useful.
No ETA on the fix.
