Bye-Bye, Eden Games! You've been a good friend until Atari got you!

Damn Atari with its stupid policy!

...and closed. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-04-12-test-drive-unlimited-dev-eden-games-closed-company-in-liquidation

Sad

Even if I couldn't stand to drive any car in this game anymore due to weird physics or total lack of good FFB steering wheel support.
I have spent some good time with friends in this game.

The casino was nice, and would have been excellent if it didn't crash the game a lot and was fixed properly.
Atari never gave Eden studio the time nor the money to finish/support this game as it should.

RIP Eden games.

yeah this was on the steam holiday sale for super cheap so I picked it up.

I played a good amount of the ISO Demo back when it was first released, and then quit for some reason, I couldn't remember why.

After playing it again this week I remembered, I could not handle the high levels of douchebag in this game.

I immediatley uninstalled it again and tried to find a copy of TDU 1 on steam, which doesnt exist. I then proceeded to download a few different version from around the internet, but couldn't get any of them to work on my PC. So I gave up and will just have the memories of playing the original TDU on my 360.

No thanks. Not only is the game utterly terrible, but I don't play online much anyhow ... especially not in groups/guilds/crews where you have to work to a time-frame with everyone else :\

Actually i hate the wannabe story and the way some cars are handling. Plus the fact that it can't decide if it wants to be a sim or an arcade. Also there is some poor performance stuff in certain areas.

But, i still don't think it's as bad as the newer NFS games. The cruising part and the exploration are nicely done. And the sims part doesn't bother me. I could even say, that i kind of like the game.

What i don't like it's the lack of any moderation, the fact that there are too many cheaters in the game and that you can't make money unless you play the Multiplayer challenges (and there are not enough people to do that) or have the Casino DLC (which i also dislike, not big on gambling).

The v034 (Build 16) patch is now included, all the DLC cars are available. Not sure if the Casino is unlocked (Skiddies opened the casino, but only to allow you to grab the clothing and the car, not sure if Prophet kept it).
