The Hidden Blade ones has some continuity quirks in the ending but I liked the story and there is some nice choices.

Fate of Atlantis has three new regions but it feels a bit padded out in-between story missions although not as bad as some other Ubisoft Open World type template games.

Storywise I suppose it sets things up a bit for what might happen in the sequel though it felt a bit more loosely connected than Hidden Blade did.

Some fancy armor sets and weaponry to be had but as usual with the legendary gear you might prefer sticking to what you already have for the bonuses working better with the current build.

Oh and there's some new skills introduced.

Err what more well it looks nice and the overall story isn't terrible but the length and padding might get a bit draining if you try to cover them in entirety instead of taking short breaks for each episode especially Fate of Atlantis introducing three mini worlds even if Hidden Blade also has a fair bit of content.
(Also choices and consequences return but gets a bit more streamlined although that happened in the main game too building up and then not much really came from some of the stuff that was shown.)

EDIT: Now what am I forgetting...oh yeah the enemy types!

So far as tedium and all that goes there's similar archetypes like the normal dude, fat dude and thin fast dude and all that but both DLC have some tricks and such it's not quite as tough as Origins where some forts had this two meter tall pro footballer elite death god dude but it's a thing.
(Or the wolf head javelin throwers those were FUN! or not.)

What else well there's the extra side quests often focusing on major characters encountered through the game as Ubisoft patched in some events so you can have more fun time with Pervocles/Pericles although while short a few of these were really good too!

EDIT: Despite the jab there the dude was kinda a badass, still died (Well it happened back then.) but somewhat like a modern celebrity doing stuff for both Persia and Athens while popular with both. Smile

Boinking ensued though pissing off a certain someone (This big nearly naked guy in "300" that depicts the accurate look of the Persian emperor.) and that didn't end too well.

EDIT: Speaking of 300 there's a nearly perfect replica of the Immortals in Origins preserved on some of the stone art in the game and then the sequel actually pulls a 300 even if it reigns it in somewhat but still a bit less royal guard more ninja warrior.

(Well the historical belief of what they looked like at least.)

well as much as i enjoy it but the story progression / dialogues are still typical ubitrash...

it does look astonishingly beautiful though

anyway for a dlc this seems kind of big. currently at the end of elysium. how big are the other two worlds in comparison?

Pretty much the same. Atlantis might seem larger because of the multi- level structure.

Started playing for like 2 hours and for my surprise i'm kinda enjoying,

Don't want to speak to soon since i didn't enjoy Origins and i'm only 2 hours in.

Kassandra is badass Very Happy and i like the added dialogue. Also the game looks and run very good on my RX 590 on 1080p.

Might try Origins again if i would end up liking this, is there a story connection between Origins and Odyssey?

Also as i never played more then couple of hours of any AC games.. is there some light summary of the real world stuff? Thanks. Smile

One game is one big fucking desert, and another is a pretty diverse island paradise. Makes all the difference to me. I didn't care much for Origins either Rolling Eyes

Well, If you had actually played Origins more than a couple of minutes, you'd realize, that the latter part looks a lot like the beginning of Odyssey Smile

That's the error I made. I finished Origins and then jumped right into Odyssey and because it looked so much the same, I got too bored and called it quits.

Don't know how but i'm enjoying this very much, as i was sure i won't since i really disliked Origins,

Now the question is does Odyssey much different from Origins or maybe i just didn't liked it back then and now i do?

I bought and played Origins about 2 years ago and hated almost everything about it, the combat felt really sucky and overall gameplay was not fun,

Now on Odyssey i got hooked as soon as started!
I liked everything, Kassandra is great, her back story is very good for now,

combat feels nice and i just saw the how Kassandra took the:

All in all I'm very surprised and will try Origins as soon as i will end this. Very Happy

I must be in the minority but i prefered origins, it gave me indiana jones/tomb raider/ mummy vibes all the time, few games do that these days, the setting was great.

Odissey is also great but overstays its welcome, i played for about 40h and enjoyed it as much as origins and than it starts to repeat itself for the next 40h, i still like it and im going to play the dlcs but it definatly is a case of too much, it is varied, yes, but it also repeats that variety for many many more hours than it rly should.

Origins is not as varied but it has a begginging and end of about 20 something hours if u follow the main story and even though it has flaws and less combat options, to me is the better game, more compact.

Once u start introducing variety and u cant keep up for the 80h+ of your game it starts to be immersion breaking, origins did just about right when it comes to that.

Story is also much focused and better in origins, theres like 3 story lines in odissey and none of them rly focus more than the other and its rly anoying, also 1 of the story lines carries on to DLC if u want to know more, the other one is side quest galore. So take that as u will..

I could actually finish Origins (not without struggling), whereas Odyssey brought the already present Ubibloat(tm) and arcade concessions to a whole new level of blandness, rehashing and grinding that made me nope out of Greece after a few hours.

I tried it for an hour and instead of enjoying myself I got stressed. Clumsy combat, endless meaningless grinding with good for nothing shit tasks and quests, cutscenes that are dreadfull to watch. Oh and you can buy gems and there is a season pass with more shit to be annoyed with.
What a piece of crap. Refunded (epic store, fingers crossed)

Hello.
I'm trying to play the game and it is my first time in Assassin's Creed.
I was searching for information about and see that in this forum you have experience in games like this and I want to ask you about choices and consequences.
Is there any real impact in the story?
Thanks and sorry for my language as my English are horrible.

A Google search is your best bet. Story choices do have consequences some more than others. Watch out for spoilers.

Thank you very match for the link. It's interesting but not what I need.
I want help not in the scripted choices but in maters like if I chose the girl or the boy, if I'm a asshole that kill everybody or a merciful Misthios and if I chose to help Athenians or Spartans, if it have any impact in the story or the game or character progress or external appearance.
Thank you and sorry for my bud English.

If I recall correctly, there's no difference between male or female character you play, including romancing.
To get the best ending, just try to not to kill your family members (Nikolaos, Deimos, etc) but spare them instead and try to convince them to join you. I missed one, somehow, but still got the good-ish ending, so it seems you can get away with one.

Thank you again. Good to now about Nikolaos and Deimos.
Is there any impact in the story from romancing? I play like the girl Kassandra.
If I romancing them will it be any differences?

Nope, the romance options are purely scripted. There is no long term commitment with anyone.

One more detail, if you can help.
Is there any differences if you help in the battle the Athenians or the Spartans?

BTW @dime1 i see you care about the story so I'll suggest playing Legacy of the First Blade DLC after finishing the main story as it tie the story nicely. Fate of Atlantis was meh and i didn't care for it.

I don't know why, but the combination of these 2 sentences made me laugh out loud. Laughing

I've never played Odyssey so I don't fully know the concept, but history-wise restoring slavery in Athens (which had the largest slave population) and "have a good day" do not go hand in hand Razz
