Since a lot of people seem to be posting more and more NSFW like sexually explicit / pornographic and outright offensive stuff, i d like to discuss the future of those picture spam-threads.
In my opinion, several things are possible to reduce the amount of needed / unwanted moderation and unnecessary bickering / discussions about appropriateness in those threads.
1.) we just label all the threads NSFW and be done. Everybody posts whatever they want and only illegal stuff will be forbidden.
2.) people actually think before posting and label individual posts NSFW, spoiler the content and give a short description on top or below, so people know what they are getting into, when opening it.
3.) we make up a set of rules about what people find inappropriate and outright forbid those to be posted at all.
There may be other ways or we could just keep it like it is, but i d be for something like the second one, because that looks like it would benefit most people. Spoilering racist or otherwise illegal stuff will still result in editing / deletion of those posts though.
Months and years ago people used to send all types of that content to UV. Now we have to subdivise UV into SFW and NSFW or restrain ourselves and shit... Starts to look like christian religion actually.

I'm up for 2. I'm not against racism, but i am disgusted with all the gay porn and whatever.
I'd love to not get to see all the gay porn that can't be unseen.
Spoiler tag and perhaps a warning of the contents would be great on NSFW stuff.
That way everyone has freedom of speech, and people that get offended by gifs/pics (be it gay porn/racism/whatever) have a choice of not seeing the content.

our memory seems to differ quite heavily there, as i have seen a lot of people get banned for posting weird shit in the past as well. There was also a period where Rinze handed out perma-bans for tricking people into clicking on lemon-party, the website with the spinning dick and similar
well, since i m not the one posting the majority of the pics in those threads, i didnt want to impose my set of ideas. Maybe other people will come up with a different way of doing it. Will make a poll next week, when enough people have voiced their opinion.

I lean more towards the second suggestion. No need for drastic measures or sieving through comments to get rid of really disgusting or offensive posts. The gruesome and ill-suited materials should be spoilered accompanied by small descriptions. If not, the individual at question gets warned (or banned if he/she keeps adhering to their 'open' way of posting).
