Can i do a partition on an External HDD?..i've got a 500GB MAXTOR OneTouch (fuck the touch grinhurt) and i've got like 95GB left, but the HDD's NTFS and my PS3 doesnt recognize it,of course, bcz the PS3's FAT32..

So i tought..is it possible to make my external HDD have a NTFS and a FAT32 partition togheter, working for both PC n PS3 at the same time?

the PS3 thingy's bcz i wanna do a system backup ^^;..

Look into Paragon Partition Manager/Magic. Very useful and allows you to do what you need.

Nah, should be the same as internals (in fact most externals are internals with a nice box outside. Smile You don't even have to reformat the existing partition. You can resize it, and format the remaining to FAT.

You can even try to convert the NTFS partition to FAT, but that's risky.

so i told partition magic "Create a partition in -external hard drive- "after the HDD",FAT32 and 65GB"..

There's this moment where the program's a bit blocked and doesnt respond...i hope the External HDD gets away with it..i dun wanna loose all the info i had in there ><..it's doing "tick tick tick tick..."

BTW, did you commit the changes? You have to commit them in order to make it work.

yes yes,i applied 'em..thou sometimes the program itself recovers sense and does a small bit of %age..now (after like an hour?) it does more without "no response"s

Non-Edit: The partition's Done, thou it doesnt appear at the MyPC menu..guess it was "Logical" for other purposes? Oo

EDIT: The partition is logic, yeah, and atleast the PS3 detected it!!!...i tought i would lose my HDD,but no,it's there and as NTFS...106GB free space to fill! X3..oh yea,had 2 kill some boring games n other shit
