Reading this BIOS from here is very complicating the only thing i can find which resembles what your looking for is (smart monitoring)
Go to page 81 of the manual and you'll see it....disable that...now disable your cd/dvd drive like you did before..i didn't have to do that but i have a feeling you will...now reboot and see what happens.

But disabling the whole ide channel means disabling all the devices on that channel, right? Too much trouble then for me, I guess I gonna just unplug my dvd drive.

yes but if you only have your dvd/cd on the secondary channel theres no problem turning off that channel while you play the game.

as with all these supposed "sf clones", it's good until the next blacklist appears; then you have to start all over. And you can bet that the SF developpers have already covered that issue or are in the progress of doing so.
This mini-image trick was discovered 'publicly' only a few only days/weeks ago, that's why there weren't any clones before.
imho, only the ncryiso release of Soldiers heroes of WWII is interesting, since it involves burning with CloneCD and no unplugging whatsoever. However, it's still a bit picky on hardware... (nothing tells us that it cant be improved though)
