their biggest demographic would be pissed if there were no red dot sights and automatic weapons

*sure we'll give you ww2, but we can't have people running around with such outdated weaponry, can we now?*

still never touched BFV and only tried BF1 once... but looking forward to 2042

I tried the MP yesterday for the first time. Even though I have a good framerate (100+) and set the input to raw, the mouse movement feels sluggish. Also the recoil feels interpolated and softened. Additionally I can not quickly point to a specific point on the screen, there seems to be some sort of weapon sway? Feels really shitty Sad BF 1 felt totally different. Also the UI is IMHO reduced too much.

Yeah, disable future frame rendering and also switch to dx11.

FFR increases input lag btw and dx12 is very unstable in this game.

Wasn't BF5 ww2 themed? There's red dot sights in the video

and i am rlly thankful for it, i don't care about historical correctness and iron sights suck lol, a game just needs to be fun. i played the beta and free weekend of bf1 when it launched and the single shot guns weren't bad at all but the auto in close range is always top.

played the beta of bf5 and my pc was shutting down lol, i literally placed the fan on top of it for it to work that was crazy hehe

i enjoyed bf5 more i guess but i've only played the beta and only got the game now, both bf1 and bf5 and intend to play it later on when i can. what worries me is the bunch of cheaters ppl say are there, this shit destroys any game. and ea wil do something at least half-assed if the community speaks up prior to the new bf.

snipers are always annoying but seems to be worse in this one (not sure how it rlly is since it's been a long time i've played it) maybe due to map design.

Then get your "fun" from the other 1000 games that have reflex sights and what not. It's WW2 for a reason, otherwise, what's the point of even making a ww2 game if it's the same as a modern warfare game? Rolling Eyes

hell let loose is the more simulator like game with realistic elements, battlefield has always been more arcade, that's just how the game has always been.

the game you are talking about just ain't battlefield, it's "hell let loose" and those which take a realistic simulator approach. personally i prefer the arcade stuff so that's why i like battlefield.

Hell Let Loose ain't exactly a sim either, Post Scriptum is much for fitted for that term. But I'm making comparisons with Battlefield 1942, not military sims.

that's fair enough, i've never played 1942 myself, started at bc2 so i checked a video of it and it doesn't have iron sights, not usable anyway, when you right click it just zoom in, only the sniper rifles have usable scopes.

i'm not trying to fuel the flames just wanted to point it out that's cool Smile
i mean i'm rofling here, those poor guys don't even have iron sights hahaha Laughing

Well, back then, not many shooters had those animations, if any at all. But there's that authenticity that BFV just doesn't have.

Don't taint your pure Battlefield Player soul with this COD-like abomination, man.

It would be... shame.meme

That's great and all, but does anybody really believe that EA of all people, are capable of making an efficient and effective anti-cheat? If anything, I'd be willing to bet it'll be the first one to be massively compromised, leading to all sorts of chicanery on users' systems that are running it. Also, this is about 6 years too late.

Well, this EA anticheat isn't anything new. It was premiered in 2022 with the FIFA 23 release, and it was added to BF2042 last October, so I guess we would already know by now if it allowed for our systems to be compromised.

Not that it's infaillible though, FIFA 23 still suffered from cheating here and there, though in my 400+ hours of online play I think I only crossed paths with a hacker like 2 or 3 times.

Also, better late than never, BFV seems to be very much alive with a daily peak of 30K+ players (only on Steam) and a lot of people have been asking for this for some time now.

Ah, didn't realize its been around for so long. Sure is looking as if EAC is going the way of Punkbuster now'a'days. Shame these multi-million dollar publishers don't bother to go after these well known and public cheat producers - they're pretty much the only ones with the resources to do anything about it. Shame they don't really care apart from some token gesture here and there.
