damn, actually looks really fun. too bad i spent all money on eurorack (a.k.a euroCrack) next month is going to get expensive.. RDR 2, kingmaker, spiderman 2, AssCreed Odyssey. gotta catch em all
What are the side missions like? I've only spent an hour or so with the game, now on that tutorial mission to reactivate towers and got a backpack.
Are they actual side missions or just helping random citizens from being mugged?
I'll probably just unlock the Noir suit and ignore the backpacks then. Hope he can use the gun.
Not too hopeful on the story though because the intro itself was dumb. Surely having men start a firefight in the middle of NYC is considered an act of terrorism. Is that not evidence enough?
Also where did Spiderman get all the money to purchase his hundred or so backpacks back in high school?
What a wasteful fellow. Those bags must also contain his clothes, so not only is he just abandoning a backpack before getting a new one, he is also abandoning clothes.
He's also a thief who stole the menu from a restaurant to keep as a memento. WTF Pete?
I do hope there's a huge twist from the comics somewhere, and they made changes to the main villain, because as a guy who used to read Spiderman since the late 80s until they did that stupid reset everything Peter has ever done thing, I've already been spoiled.
Will probably continue playing this next month since I'm still clearing up PC backlogs. And Hotoku ga Gotoku is coming.
It has left me hopeful for another Ultimate Spiderman game though. But not starring Morales.
How good is it? Honesty and no bullshit plz! Its too expensive to be tricked by paid shrill reviewers and people with rose tinted glasses! Im sure you know the types!
Haven't finished it yet, I'm somewhere in the middle, but so far, it's a well crafted, polished Arkham City but it's spider-man. If you're a spider-man fan it's probably gonna be pretty great.
Slinging around the city is fun and the voice acting and cutscenes are well done, makes it feel like a spider-man movie at times.
If you don't really care about the spider-man aspect though, like me (I don't dislike spidey but I'm not a fan either), it comes across a bit generic.
Doesn't really draw me into it's world like God of War or Detroit did this year.
To be honest, I'm actually having more fun in Yakuza 6 right now which I bought on sale a few days ago.
But I can't deny this game is very well made. It's just a matter of taste.
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
It's a very solid sandbox super hero game, with one real downside - the low quality side missions. It's not early Assassin's Creed, but even actual side quests, with dialogues and short stories, are noticeably worse than the main route (well, there's one that was pretty cool, but that's about it). And the rest is just filler content - maybe with the exception of backpacks, which provide some cool insights into the universe. The problem is, you kinda have to do some of this stuff, if you want to upgrade your gadget repertoire.
It would be more of a chore, if the action didn't feel great as great as it does - it's much better than Arkham, for me personally, mostly because of less reliance on combo meters, more control over your character, bigger enemy variety and the ability to interact with your environment. Web swinging feels fantastic, exactly the way it should. The game captures Spider-Man's theme and atmosphere very nicely. Story is also pretty nice, if you can accept some comic book quirks here and there. It's predictable, but it takes time to build the characters and that pays off later. Top notch production values too. Voice acting, graphics, animations - everything is great.
Not sure what more is there to add, to be honest. If you like Spidey, this is a must have. If you're indifferent to him - it's still a very good action sandbox, but you can probably wait a few months for a sale of some kind.
ok,let me bug you guys one more time with this (since i am partially console-infested as long as my fat ps3 keeps working), what is the best/enjoyable ps3 spoderman game?
web of shadows on pc was really good, feeling wise but GFX and overall story are all over the place, wtf.

Now, I don't know what hardware costs in Poland, I guess it's cheaper because everything is stolen from Germany and resold...
I've completed the game but never did actually ran into severe bugs, I once got stuck inside a building (like in the last video) but that was about it actually. Overall a great Spider-Man game, enjoyed it very much.
Might grab the DLC when it's on sale and if it is any good.
This is a very, very good game. It runs very smooth and looks great, I did not know the PS4 was capable of this. I assume they use a lot of technical tricks to make it look good, but it works. They also fully nailed the web slinging, it feels perfect especially at night. I usually hate collection shit in games, but it's integrated very well into the game world and I just do them so I can web sling through the city like a boss
It is a good game but I'm actually pretty mad that it's pretty much a reskinned batman Why are game designers so fucking lazy! They stole almost everything gameplay wise. Spiderman should be climbing up walls not walking on ledges when doing stealth! But of course they couldn't/didn't want to think of anything original so they just stole the batman stealth...
Stormwolf, if you liked Batman gameplay you'll like this one. I'm not a fan of the batmanesque gameplay but I like the swinging, main story, humor and voice acting.
I doubt it will last long as I have done 15% in less than an hour but DLC number two releases next month.
Im taking a break from Assassin's Creed Odyssey and some more Spider-Man will fill the gap to Red Dead Redemption 2 just nicely!
I finished this one last evening, it was a great game with lots of fun moments. They nailed spider-man the character and the web slinging 100%. I didn't even use fast travel and the combat didn't bore me one second.
What I do not quite understand is why they felt the need to prolong a game that is long enough on its own with things like chasing birds and drones. Locking some suits behind the most boring thing in this game, the challenges, was also completely idiotic. I had the same feeling as I did with Horizon after finishing this one, this will make a great sequel but please cut all that shit.
Well the DLC was short but sweet. Credits rolling after a couple hours!
Got a small amount of busywork left over to contend with.
I've been playing a lot of the dlcs on my rgh on 360, and a couple of hours sounds like one of the longer dlcs. A lot of them are like an hour or less.
I usually wait for upcoming DLCs before buying/playing but i hate when DLC is not incorporated into main game. Got both this and Shadow of the Tomb Raider without waiting for DLC.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
