As it was mentioned before, HELLGATE: London Steam Version has the latest update client of the Tokyo Version, which has all improved UI / UX / Content.
However, due to internal circumstances, Tokyo content is temporarily unavailable in order to provide you with a smooth gameplay. Once stability of the Tokyo Main Quest is settled, you will receive a notice for FREE UPDATE. Until then you can still enjoy playing London, Stonehenge, Second Attack and Abyss maps.
*In addition to what has already been mentioned, game doesn't contain cash-shop or mictrotransactions. Items can be purchased with palladium obtained by hunting monsters. Further update of the Tokyo Map will also be available at no charge.

im suprized 8 euro aint to bad, id give it a fiver just for giggles if they keep supporting it and maybe some form of mp comes down the line but seems unlikely, coop or local lan should have been worked on ffs
Apparently it's re-retranslated version of the Korean MMO version due to which some text are just garbage and with out of ass prices (in in-game currency) of items that was previously available in microtransactions. There is also no graphic upgrade, unfixed bugs and huge frame rate drops.
Gonna check the Plaza rls.

So is the Hellgate London now available on steam for 10usd is the same game i remember in 2008 as isodemo on my 8800gts pc? Or is it vastly different for worse (or better)?
It is not free to play I guess, so I hope it's the same.

If you have already played the original and want to play it now with the Korean-made expansions, then download this. Otherwise, as far as original content is concerned, the original version would probably be the best. Better graphics, no weird faces, engrish, etc.

There is no Tokyo. They might add it later but from what I read it was an unfinished mess at the time it became mmo so that might not happen at all.
