Resell them at a quarter of the price you paid for, and those copies are sold just under the price of retail.
Don't sell your pc... if you want gfx stick with pc.
PS4 has a handful of legitimately good games. Everything else just looks pretty.
Sucks you wasted your monies on a pro and a 4K tv
You can actually get more than half back on new titles. When I buy a PC game I complete it but never play it again, the upside for the PS4 side of things is that I can claw some money back.
I don't have a ton of money so I'll never be able to afford a crazy PC rig. My current one has a GTX1060 so the most I can hope for there are mid-high settings at 1080p.
The TV isn't just for gaming though, I watch more movies and tv shows these days so I'm mostly looking to the 4K/HDR content on those mediums.
I upgraded my PS4 to a Pro and got myself a 4K TV last summer - it was time to replace the 7 year old set and, like you, I enjoy a lot of the 4K content on it, which this year is really picking up traction on the torrents
Put it this way, you will be very very impressed - especially with Horizon. The HDR is at least as important as the higher resolution.
It does indeed suck about the lack of 'backup tech' this gen but then again I don't even buy many brand new PS4 games, my backlog means I can pick them up a few months later - prices fall much faster now than they used to, and then there's trade in where you can offload some as well.
Have never regretted either my original PS4 purchase, or the Pro upgrade. Will definitely keep me going until PS5 hits, and I honestly don't mind if that's 2 or even 3 years away
Exactly, I'm already impressed some games at 1080p so I'm really excited to them at 4K with HDR too. The same goes for TV shows and movies, 1080p stuff looks really sharp most of the time so I can't wait to see the latest stuff in 4K with HDR. The last piece of the puzzle will be some sort of Atmos system or soundbar!
My TV is Sony 55XE9305/930E and it's supposed to be really good for HDR, it was supposed to come tomorrow but got rescheduled for Saturday. I guess it's going to be Star Wars on Saturday and Annihilation on Sunday!
I'm half-way through Horizon and have stopped playing it till my TV comes
I bought the XBR65X930E a month ago and I have to say that this is a kick ass tv.
4k HDR is really amazing. I never thought there would be such a difference with 1080P visually wise until I had it in front of my eyes at home. In the stores, it's hard to tell because there is so many models and the picture adjustments sucks in stores.
Anyways, this game is going to be amazing on my setup. Got the Yamaha RXV1081 amp also that does all the surround shit that exist.
Can't wait!!!

Wow the fighting system looks like a complete X mashing chore
I was actually looking forward to this but after seeing Digital Foundry video about this I am no longer interested. Like you said its fighting system is just button mashing and even the weakest enemies requires tons of hits.
Afaik, previous games of this franchise was button mashing as well so I guess it'll be fine for their fans.
What I meant is that in previous installments it looked badass as fuck, the camera and movement was dynamic, you were flying all over the place doing combos and shit. Here it’s just behind-back static camera and mashing one button + roll like hellblade or AC:origins. It looks oddly very similar to hellblade

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
It looks so dull and they pump the same trailers each 2/3 days. I am not sold on the game at all.
I just bet they saw The Last of Us success.
Every trailer so far is showing Kratos fighting that troll by swinging the axe left and right. Maybe they are hiding the crazy old god of war in there for later?
It's just that Single Player AA and AAA games are so rare nowadays that I am afraid they are willing to try anything interesting or "fun"

I know there are a lot of people who are out there saying, 'It's totally different. They're changing a lot of things. Hashtag Not My God Of War. Hashtag Cancel My Pre-Order. But I think a lot of people have to play it.
We've been very restrictive of the information and what we're showing visually, and part of that is my paranoia. I want people to experience this game as a whole. Everybody who made this game - or a good portion of this team - has been a part of God of War from the very beginning. Nothing has changed cynically or under pressure or just willy-nilly. All of us put a lot of heart and soul into this game, and the DNA of what this franchise is still pumps through the blood of this game.
* Bold New Beginning
His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive… And teach his son to do the same.
* A Second Chance
Kratos is a father again. As mentor and protector to Atreus, a son determined to earn his respect, he is forced to deal with and control the rage that has long defined him while out in a very dangerous world with his son.
* A Darker, More Elemental World
From the marble and columns of ornate Olympus to the gritty forests, mountains, and caves of Pre-Viking Norse lore, this is a distinctly new realm with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters, and gods.
With an added emphasis on discovery and exploration, the world will draw players in to explore every inch of God of War’s breathtakingly threatening landscape—by far the largest in the franchise.
* Vicious Physical Combat
With an over the shoulder free camera that brings the player closer to the action than ever before, fights in God of War mirror the pantheon of Norse creatures Kratos will face: grand, gritty, and grueling. A new main weapon and new abilities retain the defining spirit of God of War while presenting a vision of violent conflict that forges new ground in the genre.
We invited longtime franchise fan David Harbour to an exclusive play-through of the new God of War. Joined by SIE Santa Monica creative director Cory Barlog and our very own Lucy James, David takes on baddies, trolls, and the perils of fatherhood.
Jesus what a cocktease, judging from the 3846392 videos posted in couple months, there seems to be only 1 map in this game, wonder how many times we need to see this same footage over again.

dunno about the gameplay, haven't read enough of the reviews...but those graphics? who needs a next gen for a couple of years when you look at this - and haven't even seen any Pro footage yet. Incredible stuff.
