Why would you think that he wouldn't kill himself off at a fitting time? Just because he feels as if they present him? BTW I don't know enough about GRRM to really say as if he sees Sam and Tyrion as a reflection of himself. Maybe he feels more like Jamie and tries to process his feelings for his hot sister
Ya a real shame the show writers after delivering such a strong show backed off grrm stories couldn't deliver something closer to the source material. I mean allowing all the plot armour fan service scenarios seem such an obvious mistake.
I look at Jamie's storyline earlier in the series. He unexpectedly loses a hand, and it leaves you really questioning whether he or many others characters are going to make it. It's clever because he may always intend this character to be a staple, but now bring crippled instills that what could happen feeling.. Same with tyrians 2x trial by combat, face scarring, Hound and Brianne, even the Stenis "death" scene.
They could have continued this with the dragons, but having these stupid last minute saves and invulnerable characters means they lost that constant foreboding feeling.
So that film theory guy actually thinks its more feasible that everyone in the show is twice the size of a human on our planet, instead of claiming that maybe their concept of distances and the length of their "mile" is different than ours?
He is basing all of this on the length of the wall being 300 something miles in the show, but never actually thinks whether those miles are the same measurement as ours?
I mean who gives a shit, in the end we know it's all lazy writing and greed, but I don't get the conclusions this guy arrives at.
oh good, so a good 30 minutes of it is going to be a sex scene between dumbass snow and dumbass dragon, just to get all the hardcore fans all giggling and satisfied.
dont worry people, just one more ep to go and then we can enjoy the peace and quiet for another year... or two, depending on how long they need to half-ass the last 6 eps...
Gentlemen, imho by far... best episode of the whole show so far.
Spoiler:
As a theory: could it be that the Night King has also the power of the 3 eyed raven? That would make perfect sense in the events of the previous episode... and also, in the past seasons...
