Football manager 2007.

If you are lucky, the msi installer initiated a restore point, so try to roll back to that restore point if possible.

Honestly I don't know Magnifor, but my guess is that no it won't work if you try running from a CD because it won't be the same image that the game looks for when you run it. I could be wrong.
